Grafting
A fat grafting procedure transfers fat from areas in which the body has additional fat, such as the outer thighs, and injects this fat into areas where volume is desired.
The Procedure
As we age, a reduction in skin hyaluronans, collagen and elastin may cause skin to loose elasticity. Combined with lifestyle factors such as exposure to the sun and toxins, this may result in facial wrinkles such as small lines or crow’s feet around your eyes, deep wrinkles or furrows in your forehead, or a vertical frown line between your eyebrows.
During the fat grafting procedure, fat is harvested from one part of your body. This fat is washed and purified, and then re-injected with specially designed needles into the areas that are marked for augmentation.
It may be necessary to repeat the fat grafting procedure to achieve the final, desired result.
FAQ
Results will vary for each patient. The procedure is designed to result in the designated areas to which the fat has been transferred appearing softer and fuller.
