Cosmetic Facial Treatments
Advanced Aesthetics offers a range of cosmetic facial treatments. Our team of Registered Nurses will create a tailored treatment plan to address your individual requirements. We offer a complimentary consultation and skin analysis to understand your skin and desired outcomes, and to discuss your options in detail.
Treatments to address wrinkles
As we age, a reduction in skin hyaluronans, collagen and elastin can cause the skin to loose elasticity resulting in lines and furrows in the forehead, vertical frown lines between your eyebrows and small wrinkles or “crow’s feet” around your eyes. Cosmetic treatments to address wrinkles are designed to reduce or eliminate the visual appearance of these lines.
In keeping with Government regulations, we are unable to name the specific products used for cosmetic injections. The treatments to address wrinkles we use at Advanced Aesthetics are made up of a naturally occurring toxin that weaken muscles when injected into them, reducing or eliminating fine lines and wrinkles.
Results will vary for each person. Typically, once facial expression muscles are weakened, the appearance of wrinkles and facial lines is reduced.
When seeking any non-surgical treatment, we strongly suggest that you look for qualified and experienced Registered Nurses at a reputable clinic.
Treatments to address volume loss
As we age, areas of our face lose volume, in particular the cheek areas resulting in a ‘flattening’ of the upper cheek area, and sagging of the skin.
Treatments to address volume loss can increase the volume in your face. They can also be used to address lip volume loss and smooth out wrinkles, although other treatments offered at Advanced Aesthetics may be more suitable. Your Registered Nurse will discuss the options with you during your consultation.
The latest treatments to address volume loss are typically composed of a non-animal origin acid that occurs naturally in the body and attracts water and creates plumpness. These are injected below the skin’s surface.
Results will vary for each client, however treatments to address volume loss will typical result in fuller and firmer skin, and reduced fine lines and wrinkles. Side effects, such as minor redness and swelling are typically resolved within 24 hours. Results may be visible immediately, and last around 4 to 12 months, depending on the treatment, the technique and the area that is being injected.
Hyperhidrosis Treatment
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition where sweat glands cause excessive sweating. Hyperhidrosis can affect any part of the body where sweat glands are found, however, the most common areas are the underarms, palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Advanced Aesthetics offers a treatment to address this condition.
The Hyperhidrosis treatment we use at Advanced Aesthetics are made up of a naturally occurring toxin that is injected into the specific area. This targets the sweat glands, temporarily slowing down their function, and preventing excessive sweating. A very fine needle is inserted into the area and the substance is injected. Most patients don’t require pain medication, but your doctor may administer a topical anesthetic or oral analgesic for the more sensitive areas such as the palms and feet.
Results will vary for each client, as will recovery times and responses. However, this treatment should result in a significant reduction or elimination of sweating in the area treated. There is typically minimal to no discomfort after the treatment. You should expect to see the initial results two to three days after with the best effects about a week later.
Lip volume loss treatment
As we age, a reduction in skin hyaluronans, collagen and elastin may cause the upper and lower lips to lose volume and fullness. Lip volume loss treatment is designed to restore fullness.
A variety of options, including fat, collagen, and others, can be used to add fullness to the lips. Your clinical nurse at Advanced Aesthetics will discuss the best option to achieve your desired result.
Results and recovery will vary for each client. Lip volume loss treatment will typically result in added lip volume. Final results can take some days to come into effect.
Cosmetic facial treatments
For those looking to refine the shape of their nose, a cosmetic facial treatment may be an alternative to rhinoplasty surgery.
This treatment can be used to modify the shape of the nose, alter the shape, size and position of the nasal tip, hide bumps and straighten the nose.
The treatment uses a volume loss treatment to alter and reshape the areas of your nose that you wish to address.
We also use this treatment to aid those who have had a skin cancer removed from on the nose, a typical area for lesions, to camouflage and reshape the affected area. A typical treatment takes between 30 minutes and one hour.
Recovery will vary for each person. The area where you have been injected may be slightly red, or bruised, and you may experience slight swelling for a couple of days.
Results will vary for each client and will be discussed at the time of your consultation.
